MARK REDFIELD’S FILM ‘THE DEATH OF POE’ COMING TO VIDEO-ON-DEMAND

The Death Of PoeMark Redfield’s 2006 film THE DEATH OF POE, which chronicles the last days of Edgar Allan Poe in a dream-like and expressionistic cinematic style, is coming to Vimeo Video-On-Demand.

The film, which follows the true-life story of Poe’s last days as he traveled from Richmond to return to New York in late September, 1849, and then, for reasons that remain a mystery to this day, stopped in Baltimore, disappeared for several days, and then was found, in someone else’s clothes and incoherent, only to die in a hospital on October 7, 1849.

THE DEATH OF POE stars Mark Redfield as Edgar Poe, Kevin G. Shinnick as Dr. Moran, Jennifer Rouse as Mrs. Moran, Tony Tsendeas as Neilson Poe, and Kim Hannold as Virginia. The screenplay is by Mark Redfield and Stuart Voytilla. The film was shot by Jeff Herberger and edited by Sean Paul Murphy and Jay Carroll. Music by Jennifer Rouse.
